A breed rep is a dog (s) that is a recognized AKC breed that fills the job of ‘Meet and Greet” to the public. We have also recognized breeds outside of the AKC if they recognized by an organization of their country of origin or are on the AKC FFS list.

The dog does not need to be a show dog but must look and act like the breed it is labeled as.

The dog needs to genuinely like to interact with people. They must be comfortable in crowded, loud places and have lots of stamina.

They need to be knowledgeable about the breed. They need to love to talk with people. We want them to be honest about the personality and behavioral qualities of the breed, both good and bad.  They need to have stamina as well as the dogs as this is a long day.

We are currently contacting reps now with a prior history for the 2025 event. We will be confirming assignments in late summer.

Typically, we go with those who have history as breed rep, BKC member, recommendation from other breed reps, or personal observation .
